SWAT has taken the suspect into custody in the Sun Ray area... Officers are still maintainting the perimiter to keep the area secured. Officers are now determining if this indeed is their subject from the take over robbery almost exactly 12 hours ago.

11:45p Officers are also spotting a subject outside, and other residents are calling 911 with reports of someone trying to kick in a door. The are now concentrating on the 4600 block of Sun Ray. All residents should remain indoors and keep their house securely locked. The suspect is considered armed and dangerous. A resident on Sun Dial is reporting suspicious activity near their boat.

11:30pm SWAT is about to enter a house in the 4600 block of Sun West between Sun Gold and Sun Glenn, a negotiation team has been called in. Canine unit has entered the house.... Someone is in the attic of the home..SWAT checking now

Officials are reporting that a 4th suspect has been taken into custody just after 9pm tonight at the Del Taco on Sylvan Ave. The suspect was just outside the area that was being searched by law enforcement agencies earlier today in the Beyer High School area. A suspect is still being sought in the Salida neighborhood of Sun Ridge West. Last report was the search had been narrowed down to just a few houses and at this time the suspect is still at large.

5:10pm The searches continue in Salida, the search area has been narrowed down to about 15 homes in the Sun Ridge West sub-division. Family members who are looking to re-unite with others from that neighborhood need to go to Modesto Christian School, where a temporary evacuation center has been set up.

4:00pm (Salida.org Exclusive)- The Cal Fed Bank at Orangeburg and Oakdale in Modesto was involved in a takeover armed robbery by 5 to possibly 6 black males at about 12:09pm. The suspects were quickly chased by police through the Beyer High area, where alledegly 3 suspects jumped out, who were believed to have been hit by the stolen brown sedan which traveled to Salida. 2 suspects were taken into custody in the Beyer High area. A search is continuing at this time for possible other suspects. The vehicle eventually crashed into a home in the Sun Ridge West neighborhood of Salida.

Another suspect was taken into custody in the Salida neighborhood while trying to enter a house. There is currently a search continuing at this hour.

Some school lockdowns have occurred for several schools today in the Sylvan Union School District. Sisk School currently has some students remaining to be picked up by parents. The students are fine, and the campus secure, but parents are required to come to the office to have the children released from the locked down school.

Residents of the Sun Ridge West sub-division who are looking for thier spouses or neighbors can go to Modesto Christian School where a evacuation center has been set up.

The suspects who are still at large are to be considered armed and dangerous. They reportedly had a large assault type rifle and a handgun. Salida residents are asked to stay in their homes, and away from the Sun Ridge neighborhood.
